ALBANY SKI CLUB
Every Wednesday in January (January 8th, January 15th, January 22nd, and January 29th) there are FREE lessons for X-Country skiing. Lessons are for both Classic and Skate skiing techniques. Meet at 5:45pm behind Inside Edge Ski & Bike Shop. Lessons go from 6pm-7pm.
Rentals can be made at Inside Edge Ski and Bike shop for $25.

Friday February 7, 2025: 6:00pm-7:00pm at the international ski trail in Glens Falls, Albany Ski Club is have a group get together for Nordic skiing (or you can snowshoe if you would like). The trail is a lighted trail and we will ski for about an hour, maybe longer!? Trail is located behind Inside Edge Ski and Bike Shop (where you can also get rentals if you need them). There will be happy hour after the Nordic Ski at Common Roots Brewing Company for anyone that would like to join.

Saturday February 22, 2025- 2:00pm-4:00pm at Wolf Hollow located at Route 5 Glenville, NY. Nordic Ski or Snow shoe get together for anyone who would like to join. The trail is located behind Wolf Hollow brewing company in West Glenville. You can rent snowshoes at wolf hollow brewery. As for renting cross country skis you can rent at Tune Ski's located at 272 Saratoga Rd Glenville, NY 12302.

Snow shoeing is recommended for the area but you are more than welcome to XC Ski if you so choose to do so.
X-Country Ski Areas
Some of the areas require tickets to use their facilities but the majority are free. The areas ask you to be neat and not litter.
- Lapland Ski Center (tickets required), Northwille, NY
- Pineridge Xcountry Ski Area, Petersburg, NY
- Bearpen Mountain Park, (tickets required), Prattsville, NY
- Mountain Trails, (tickets required), Tannersville, NY
- Saratoga State Park, off Avenue of the Pines, Saratoga Springs free
- Saratoga National Park, The park is open but the buildings are closed and there are no facilities during the winter. Free
- Town of Colonie Golf Course, off Consaul Road 518-374-4181 Free
- Brookhaven Golf Course, Greenfield Center, NY north of Saratoga Springs Free
- Garnsey Park off western end of Route 146 Clifton Park
- Kinns Road Park off Kinns Road, Clifton Park, NY Free
- The Commons of Clifton Park off Vischer Road, Clifton Park. Free
- Vischer Ferry Reserve off River Road in Clifton Park, most interesting short drive area. Free
- Capital Hills Golf Course off Deleware Avenue, Albany, NY Free

On Friday February 7th some members took an adventure through the lighted trail at the International cross Country Ski trail at Cole's Woods. The Weather was perfect and the snow was immaculate!! If you are looking for a nice place to get out and cross country ski come check it out.
On Saturday February 22, 2025 Members of the Club went to Wolf Hollow located in West Glenville and ventured out on a snow shoeing adventure. The weather was perfect and the time together was a blast! We gathered at Wolf Hollow Brewery afterward for a bite to eat and drink.
